Road to Emmaus is a three-year Bible reading plan, designed to take you through all the books of the Bible in manageable daily segments. Our goal at Ambassador Church is to be disciples who are rooted in Christ and daily grounding ourselves by reading scripture, and our hope is that this plan will be a tool to help you strive toward that goal.
The reading plan consists of the following:
Your guide to reading on the Road to Emmaus reading plan is a self-contained PDF file which you can view and download here. The PDF includes links to all the Bible passages, Bible Project videos, overviews, and worksheets for the entire three years; as well as checkboxes to help you easily track your progress. If all you can do is read each day’s Bible passage, that’s fantastic! If you’re able to watch the occasional Bible Project video, great! But the most value-added element of the reading plan is the overview, along with the subsequent worksheets comparing parallel passages. Our hope is that, by looking at these along the way, you will gain a newfound wonder at how God is teaching us about his Messiah through the Scriptures.
To get started, click here to access the PDF and download it using the arrow in the upper right hand corner. Be sure to save it someplace online where you can access it from any of your devices. Since you’ll be checking boxes as you go, having a centrally located copy will help you track your progress easily and avoid duplicate effort. If you have any difficulty using the PDF, please refer to our FAQ & Tech Tips page. We’ll soon be announcing more ways to interact with the plan including groups, classes and additional resources to make the most of your daily readings, so keep an eye out for updates!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you have the most updated version of the PDF (Version 1.32). If you downloaded an earlier copy (prior to January 20th), please download it again to replace it with this new version. The earlier version (Version 1.31) had a serious usability impairment with its links. The new version will save you lots of headaches going forward, even though you will need to re-check (on the new version) any check-marks you made on the old version.
